The National Science Education Content Standards are helpful
guidelines that provide rationale and support for lessons, assignments, units, projects, etc within science curriculum. These
standards supply educators with specifc areas to address within teaching. Throughout this website, you will find several references
to the National Science Education Standards in connection to each of the assignments I have completed. The standards provide
the rationale (purpose) behind each assignment. It is important to include the standards along with each assignment to ensure
that students are learning curriculum that is standardized across the field of education and that students understand why
and how each assignment will further their education.
